You don't tend to got much spray, more of a high pressure mist, with headlight washers. Certainly not going to do much to a cyclist. And on those cars without HIDs?
Headlamp washers are massively useful - wipers more so than spray-only, but both work very well. IF they're adjusted properly. And, if they are, then they don't spray passing cyclists or pedestrians. Just the same as windscreen wipers.0 -
It's the same for motorcyclists! People just washing their windscreens with a motorcyclist behind you gives the biker a face full of windscreen wash....or my biggest bug bear is car drivers 'flicking' cigarettes out of their windows when im on my motorbike!
I will go out of my way to inform them of their errors for that one:mad:
as im a biker i always pay attention when in the car before i operate the washers for cyclists/pedestrians/motorcyclists etc even people behind in convertibles...Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE0 -
[quote=[Deleted User];68444548][...]So if you soak a cyclist, are you being careful and competent? Are you showing reasonable consideration? I'd say no, but ultimately it would be for a court to decide.[/QUOTE]
Not guilty Your Honour:
There I was, considering the cyclist and what would give me a reasonable chance of getting him, I then carefully timed my screen washing to maximise the chance of soaking him having competently adjusted one jet to spray off to one side.
I'm sure that covers all the required points for a defence

I'd make sure my washer jets were properly adjusted and aimed at the windscreen / headlamp glass and not sideways at passing road users.
Just sayin'...0
