It's the precision timing that got me - 3.13am.
Visions of a ghost standing there with a watch going "Whoops....no...don't start the woo-woo just yet...countdown 60, 59, 58, 57...."

Need to get an engineer in there to check on the pipes / fan vibrations - low frequency sound from metal pipes or vibrations that cause noise in the infrasound range have been proven to cause the feelings and even sightings of ghosts

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Some years back I sold a very old house (13th century) and, amongst the many viewers were several who were obvious nosey timewasters. One, who obviously had just come for an hour out was full of "oooh, look at that"... frankly, I should have sent her out via the gift shop & tea room, from her attitude. Anyway, when we got to the really old and dark bit she appeared genuinely a bit scared, and asked if there were "any g-h-o-s-t-s". (I think, like saying "Candyman" she thought she'd raise them by name....).
So, I says, yes there are, all sorts of noises and cold airs, and soon left her for her look-around on her own (why I bothered, no idea, as she would never buy it...). Feeling a bit peeved, I went outside, and evil came upon me. I threw a small round stone onto the roof, hoping to make some thunk and make her jump. Evil works in mysterious ways. The stone slowly rattled its way down the roof, into a lead-lined gulley, clattered down that, and tinked into cast iron gutters.
By which time I was back inside, all innocent-like. (I retain my cherubic looks from my days as a choir boy, aside from the warts, wrinkles, horns and hooves). She scuttled down the stairs looking petrified, and left almost immediately.
I most certainly don't believe in g-h-o-s-t-s! Mind you, I can't throw accurately for toffee, and that stone landed perfectly, and rolled, and rolled and rolled.

Dafty, I think I love you, lol :rotfl:
We had a similar experience when selling a heavily beamed and panelled tudor property - not the stone chucking bit, but the obvious nosey-parkers who were only interested in whether the house was haunted, had it been used as a film set? etc etc.....The way some people spend their weekends, eh?
