Radio Interference

Every so often, when using MSE, I get a radio signal coming from my laptop, which is rather loud and makes me jump!

Any suggestions? :eek::eek:

    You are possible one of very few humans capable of getting radio signals.
    Is it an audio signal (sound) from the laptop or some other electronic device?

    This used to happen to one of my friends.

    After moving his computer desk to near the window he realised it was caused by taxi's dropping off a neighbour and he was getting a burst of static/noise from their radio.

    I think it was decided that it was down to cheap PC components/shielding rather than a problem with the taxi.

    It stopped happening when he replaced his laptop although the irony was the replacement laptop was cheaper than the old one.

    Most likely it will be your mobile phone signal picked up by the laptop's audio circuit, try moving your mobile phone away from the laptop.
