in Credit cards
Hi,
Currently I have three credit building cards Vanquis - £250, Aqua - £100 and Capital One - £200. I applied for these to rebuild my credit. Can anybody advise me should I pay the three off now and close them which I can afford?keep one and pay in full every month?keep three and pay in full every month?I will keep the three if it promotes my credit better than paying off one in full every month. Any advice would be appreciated please. Do these cards repair a poor credit history which I have at the moment?
Thank you

are you paying them all, in-full, every month, not leaving any balance on them, and therefore paying no interest at all?0

I'd advise to pay them all off ASAP - Spending less than 50% of your limit on one, and paying it off in full each month.
IMO, I'd keep the Vanquis and close the other two.0 -
well, yes, if you have balances on them that are accruing interest, then you certainly dont want to leave a balance on them In The Hope Of improving your ratings... if you can pay off the cards, and avoid interest being charged, then do so.
fwiw, of the 3, the one i would keep would be CapitalOne. and then in a few months i would apply for a Barclaycard or MBNA card.0 -
Spend a little bit on them every month and clear off in full every month so you avoid interest and it updates the CRA to show you're a good payer
In a few months they may reward you with limit increases which will make you more attractive to other lenders when you apply
You have no rights until you know about them.:)0
