Has anyone ever had a mortgage refused based on a home report (scotland) home buyers report?
What kind of things would make a lender refuse?

We had to get a structural engineer to check our house after we got home report done as some of the houses in the area had been built using defective bricks (although house is a timber frame) and we had some bossed/hollow roughcast which can be the first sign of a problem. I guess I'm just getting nervous as our buyer is waiting on his mortgage0
