Investing for your child

I have recently set-up a Junior ISA for my new boy, but wanted to look at some investment funds for him as well.

Has anyone set one up for their children and where did you research the best funds?

Thanks

A JISA can contain investments and is probably a good platform to do so being tax free and not part of the parent's assets.

I agre, I would go with a JISA using investments not cash (you can get him a child's acct incl s regular saver elsewhere).

    I like investment trusts myself.

I don't have experience of Junior ISAs but have set up investment accounts for each of my grandchildren. I used the same research tools as I do when choosing investments for myself.
Morningstar, Monevator Blog, Trustnet, Investors Chronicle, FT are a few that come to mind immediately.
I often use the Hargreaves Lansdown site for research too.
And I'm sure others on here will have more reading recommendations.
