    thankyou dennis do i just address it to my IP then? because talking to relationship managers doesnt get me anywhere

    also how long do i give it for a response

    Sorry, I don't get notifications of replies so a bit slow in noticing your latest question.


    A copy of your IP's complaints procedure should be readily available on request - this will indicate how quickly you should get a response and how soon you are entitled to escalate the matter. Your complaint should normally be addressed by someone at the firm who has not been directly involved in your case up to that point.


    You can go straight to the Complaints Gateway (see my link above in my first post) but it is strongly recommended that you try to resolve the matter with the IP first.

    hi ive spoken to them today and theyve escalated to an independant complaint-according to their own dept they say theyve followed procedure trying to get informaiton even though its taken five years i said well thats not good enough

    i will now wait the outcome of that

    i forgot to add santander say they only knew of the iva in feb 2010 when it was accepted in dec 09 so didnt freeze my account

    have spoken to someone looking into it doesnt look like i'll get all of the debt covered hopefully some charges though

    it stil doesnt seem right that this has taken five years so i will complain to the governing body aswell
