New Build homes in Manchester

Hi All,

I am looking to buy a new build property in South Manchester. I have done my research and property in South Manchester has been most recommended due to good schools, future growth and better standard of living.

I am a first time buyer. The new build property is worth £199,999. From your past experience, would you be able to provide some information on what things I can ask from the builder to provide me. They are not willing to give me a discount on the property but happy to give other benefits. Please advise. Looking forward for your help.

Many thanks.

I am purchasing a new build also and now in the stage of waiting for completion.
What we got was a stamp duty off. It was originally around 9K, but after government changed the policy, it went down to 5.5K and we are getting 3.5K by cash upon completion.
Also it is better to ask for flooring or curtains which are the basics yet most expensive.

I am also buying a new build in Manchester. I didn't get any money off the price but got £2K worth of extras thrown in. We have chosen an intergrated kitchen (currently rent so have no white goods), and flooring.

May not seem like a lot but we were lucky to get a plot at all (very popular development).

Best thing is to ask for a certain amount towards your extras, as most new builds come very basic and the upgrades are extremely expensive.
