Hi there
Received a PCN from Parking eye, responded with the strongly worded letter template from this site within the 28 day window, have proof of postage, this was nearly 2 weeks ago and have had no further communication from Parking eye. I don't want to chase it up but should I or is it ok to leave it and assume they're dropping it?
Thanks for any help

Much too soon to assume they're dropping it. The Code of Practice gives them 35 days to respond.Je suis Charlie.0

You need to wait longer than this, up to around 35 days, and no Parking Eye will not drop anything where scamming you out of money is involved.
You should be studying the newbies thread in the meantime to get your head around the process.;)0 -

you may be impatient, but bear in mind they get hundreds of these a day, possibly thousands ! so they can play the long game, especially as they could take up to 6 years to achieve their aims
as mentioned above, you havent even understood the basics which is 14 days to acknowledge and 35 days to respond !
now that you have tempted fate with the as$ u me word, you can bet its refused

When you say "strongly worded letter" was it the ridiculous rant asking lots of questions and threatening them with a counter claim? If so, it is likely that they will claim that it was not an appeal as such and try to deny you a PoPLA number. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Absolutely Mr C, "you should be ashamed" ... "I will claim for my stationery", etc., etc., etc. Pure drivel.
Who, with an I.Q. of over 90 would write such stuff. It marks the writer down as unable to think for themselves, regurgitating the unconvincing and bombastic righteous indignation of another.
Besides, they will have seen it dozens/hundreds of times before, and will go straight on the "nutter" pile..You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Why would any appellant send a letter when PE have an online form? They'll reject the appeal next month anyway but online would have been better than faffing about posting a letter.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will always chose a letter over an on-line form. A letter allows you to dictate the narrative, to add things that are not on the form, and to ignore those that are.
A letter lets them know who you are, that you mean business, you are a man of substance, with a complete mastery of our language. A letter creates a paper trail. Judges, Ombudsmen, Tribunals, they all love well crafted letters, they love paper trails.
On line forms, piffle. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

In the case of PE, you can put the information into a letter, save it as a PDF and simply attach it:
