I have recently got a 2nd hand photosmark 5524, but does not seem to recognise any photo paper being loaded, when I try to print something..
all the ink levels are ok. I have tried normal letter paper too, same thing.
Can someone advise which position the photo paper should be in? at the very back of tray, or in the middle? (with side size bars moved in to fit). or another way??

try test print-
get some re assuring noises, 'now printing' message on screen..
then 'out of paper' error.
'load paper, and push paper tray forward to close' - done that, clicked ok, bus goes back to 'out of paper..'

Try gently roughing up the feed rollers see if they will grip the paper, double check there is nothing stuck in the printer but it sounds like the feed mech is worn, if you've just bought it I'd be looking to get my money back.0
