Changing ISP's ?

I am with NTL on Broadband. I had a call from Talk Talk, yesterday, who offered me a good deal to change over to them for BB and unlimited phone calls for £20 PM.
They assured me that I could keep my NTL email address and just log onto NTL to pick up my emails.
I called NTL to give them notice and they told me that I would NOT be able to keep my NTL email address if I changed! I don't want to lose my email address.
Could someone please tell me, who is telling the truth!

Ask yourself the question, why should NTL continue to provide my e-mail if I no longer subscribe to their service? You are much better to use an ISP independent e-mail service and then you won't have this problem - sounds like your stuffed! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I am and still using a Freeserve Email as my main mail, yes I dial in every now and then cost 5 - 6 pence, but I have others with them and hardly ever dial in. When they stop I go to Wanado site and reactivate and they keep working.
I have now done this for 3 years or more and no problem so far, I would buy a domian name next time but as long as this keeps working I am fine.0 -
A few companies have something called 'premium mail' where (usually for a small fee) you can keep your email address active. I'm not sure if NTL have such a service but I would call them and maybe speak to a supervisor to get an honest answer.0
