Car Hire abroad
Hi, I would like to hire a car in Italy for 2 weeks and arrive at the airport and show my passport (and dvla code) and drive off. Is this possible, i.e. don't get any hassle from the staff about extra insurance for wheels, underside of the car etc? I would like to hire a car in the country with everything sorted and have no stress in Italy.
Possible?

Yes, just book it online with all the options you want sorted. Then collect it on arrival.0

You probably won't need the DVLA code. I've never been asked for anything other than the main licence when hiring cars abroad.0
