Hi
Does anyone know if and when the half price or 70% off fruit and veg starts or has started in Lidl. Is it nationwide or just regional.
Thanks

It has started this week in my local branch which is beckton, east london. Our is only "UP to 70%" off - not half price.
I dont think they all do it at the same time?

yes you do have to be careful - sometimes they have a fresh batch in and they are ok, other times they are terrible! I used to find tuesday mornings ok as they had fresh stock come in after the weekend.0 -
I don't know if this only applies in Scotland, but October is the month that Lidl sell all their fruit & veg massively reduced. I just got red and green grapes for less than 90p/kg.
I think we'll be living on soup this month:rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -

Have you see the free recipe books they do know at the check out I cant remember off hand which celeb chef it was but loads of great recipes using lidl produce - definately worth picking one up0

Yeah, i did get the recipe book. It's Nick Nairn, (we had the roast veg mash very nice) but I think you can also find his recipes on the lidl website.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

I had pomegranites for 25p each ( or there abouts ) and they had huge mangos for a great price too..
going slightly off topic.......

OH is eating the herring in piquant sauce (from Lidl) right now for breakfast.. he has it on toast. I usually keep a stack of different kinds of fish/flavours in the kitchen cupboard for him to choose for breakfast, as and when. As i said, he just has it, sauce and all, on toast, he loves fish, and we can;t afford the fresh stuff. works for him.
