Term Time Working

Hi All,
Apologies if this has been asked before!
I'm looking at applying for a new job. I'm currently working 16.5 hours and I qualify for working tax credits to help with childcare for my two children while I work (1 in nursery and 1 in after-school club). The new job is 18.5 hours, but is term time only. Two questions:
1. Would the wage be averaged out so that I would get the same wage, monthly no matter whether it's been holiday (so like in the summer holidays) and
2. Would it affect working tax credits - would I no longer qualify for help during working weeks due to not working 18.5 hours every week? I would still need to put them in after-school club during term time, but would I lose WTC to help with it?
Thanks in advance

Really? So I would be classed as working 18.5 hours every week even though it's only 35 weeks a year? That would make a huge difference to us, especially if we would still qualify for help with childcare during term time.0

How it usually works is that you'd be paid for however many weeks your contract states (usually 38 or 39 weeks depending on whether you have to work non-pupil days) plus whatever you holiday entitlement is (4.4 weeks? could be wrong)
Whoever does the payroll will calculate your pay for 18.5 hours pw multiplied by (for example) the 42.4 weeks to give your annual pay and this figure will be divided by 12 to give your monthly pay each month of the year[/CENTER]Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0
