Abbey Monthly Saver Account (5% one)

Just wondering if anybody knows of the top of their head :A Im thinking in opening a monthly saver account (currently 5%) I was gonna open it now in case the interest rate changed on it, from what I can see you have to put £20 a month in, in June my Halifax reserve matures (at a lousy 4.75%) can I deposit £3k + into this account long afer it has been opened ?

Why not open a Halifax regular saver at 7%

So what's wrong with paying a regular amount in to a normal savings account and get instant access with no withdrawal panalties and more than 5% too?

agree with jim, natalie, however to answer your question anyway ...

it wasnt entirely clear to me (but maybe its just me) ... are you asking can you deposit £3k into the monthly saver on opening, or shortly thereafter?

if thats what you mean then yes you can
