Natwest bank charges reclaim

I'm with natwest, I'm trying to find out how much success people have had with them when claiming back charges and any advice and tip anyone can give me to help me with my case.
I have been with natwest for about 16 years and have been charged quite a few times. I know I can only claim back 6 years. Is my best route to finding out my charges over the years through a freedom of information request or online banking?

You can only claim back charges if you are in current financial difficulty. The 6 year thing is rubbish.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Since the banks won the bank charges case in court, the refunds have dropped big time. Now it is only incorrect application of charges, mis-sold package account charges or CURRENT financial hardship cases where banks will consider or be required to refund.I know I can only claim back 6 years.
There is no such rule.through a freedom of information request
