Hi so I bank with halifax and on a number of occasions they have taken my monthly fee out when the money is not there.so In turn I then get charged for unarranged overdraft fees.I understand that I should make sure the money is there but it still seems so unfair.think I can claim it back ? Also the the only money going in my account is child tax credits

As you say you understand that you should make sure the money is there.
You obviously didn't and you agreed initially to abide by the terms and conditions. Fairness
doesn't come into it.
Its very unlikely you would get charges back unless you were experiencing genuine hardship.
Just make sure that you make sure the money is there to cover the charges or change your account to an
ordinary onemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If you are paying for an account and not using any of the benefits, you can complain about bank account charges.
If you are in current financial hardship, you can complain about bank charges.
If you only have tax credits going in there, why on earth are you paying for an account?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
