Quoted £158 on phone, but billed €485 for hotel!

They've also charged £12 in interest! :mad: They said it wouldn't incur interest as it's a dispute... :rolleyes: Surely I can claim this back?
The balance to be paid by me is now £178 which is still £20 more than what I was quoted (£158)... I have no idea where they got their refund figure of £158 from0 -
The interest I agree, but that is a dispute between you and the card company not the website or hotel.
I think the difference can be accounted in the difference in the buying and selling rates of the Euro.
When you booked the hotel in effect you were 'buying' Euros to pay the website/hotel and when the partial refund was made Euros were 'sold' back to you.
In law they don't have to refund this to you as you bought and sold in a currency other than sterling.
Some cards will refund this to you others won't,
Again this is between the card company and you and nothing to do with the website.0 -

But only £9 more than you could have had the trip with Expedia.
I would consider this a result.0
