MPG is never what the dealer/manufacturer advertises. Worth asking on a Kia owners forum or checking out http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/

We have one. It averages 47-48 mpg driven "enthusiastically" on a 22 mile commute to work. 20 miles country roads, a mile of main road and another mile or so of urban crawl.

How does that compare to the advertised figures?

"Official" combined figure 52.3 mpg, so around 90-92%.

daylad - you can work this out for yourself. All the quoted MPG figures for all cars, are on a standard test. So how does the Kia compare to your current car's quoted figures.
Now, what do YOU get compared to your car's quoted figures?
So if your current car says 50 combined say, and you get 40 out of it, you can then take four fifths of any car's combined figure, to translate it to what you would achieve on your current driving pattern.
