How far back can you claim for bank charges?

Hi everyone.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to claim back my bank charges.
Natwest refunded my charges right away. I rarely use the account and its £6 per charge. They refunded £48 which went back to 2009.
With Yorkshire bank I've not been charged in a few years which I explained to them.
I have been with them since I was around 8 years old when my mum opened a savings account with them for me.
They replied saying that I have no charges from 2011 to 2015 and they are unable to go back any further.
I know I have charges prior to this which I also explained.
Does anyone know what my next step will be?
Thank you

What charges are you referring to?
If you are not in current financial hardship then you cannot claim any bank charges back.
if you are referring to packaged account charges then you make your allegations in your complaint and they will review your complaint and decide it if has merit or not.I know I have charges prior to this which I also explained.
This suggests you are not on about packaged account charges but overdraft. If that is the case, then you cant claim them back. That ship has long sailed. The banks won the court case in 2009.Natwest refunded my charges right away. I rarely use the account and its £6 per charge. They refunded £48 which went back to 2009.
That is a packaged charge and your useage doesnt suggest a packaged account is suitable. Hence why they refunded.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Historical OD charges cannot normally be reclaimed, the banks won the "unfair charges" caseSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
