    Afternoon! Thanks for starting us off ziggy

    Day off today and am in full konmondo swing :j have nearly done all clothes (mine & dgd's I refuse to do oh's he's being a hoarder about the whole thing!) and while I am finishing off dgd's things I am flyladying the upstairs. So tidy it's easy to do! :T

    hurrah so impressed with my Konmari/flyladying!

    Have sorted and tidied stairs completely.

    Vacuumed & polished the whole house incl skirting boards.
    Mopped all of downstairs, cleaned bathroom including cleaning the windows :eek:

    My house is peaceful and sparking clean :j

    Things to do today:

    * [STRIKE]have hung up washing on heated dryer[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]another load in the machine[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]wipe all kitchen sides[/STRIKE]
    * submit meter readings
    * send off remortgage paperwork (BIG thing)
    * [STRIKE]load up car with items to donate[/STRIKE]
    * bake some pastries and muffins for dgd's packed lunches
    * finish reading book
    * might get my sewing machine out in a bit haven't done it in ages!
    * [STRIKE]online food delivery coming between 1-2[/STRIKE]
    * make butternut squash soup & use up BNS that's been hanging around forever :o
    * [STRIKE]listed 5 things on ebay[/STRIKE]

    We went out for dinner yesterday and the food was really disappointing so I have emailed a complaint. See what happens!

    Ok that's all I can think of. Have a lovely day everyone x

    Afternoon all!

    Miserable here too so won't be walking at lunch or I'll be very soggy for the rest of the afternoon! But at least I've got my car back!

    Dad is fitting bannister for stairs today - exciting to see things coming along again! Me and OH ripped out old gas fire place and surround yesterday which was fun as I like demolition!

    Today I have/will:-
    * Check banks
    * Continue using up free foundation sample
    * Take lunch to work
    * Check out ParkRun (thanks Ally)
    * Register with Park Run as seriously need to get fit now!
    * Book days off for next month
    * Call garage re code for stereo
    * Call blind company to check when they're coming out to fix the apparently damaged blind (I can't see anything wrong with it)
    * Earn more SBs (this is very slow progress!)
    * Earn more on OnePoll
    * Dinner from stores - YS pie I managed to get yesterday with some sprouty potatoes!
    * NSD?

    That's everything I can think of for now. Hope you all have a good day!

    Hello all

    I have just got back from the most amazing holiday - it cost £1500 for three of us but that was all inclusive in a 5 star resort in Mallorca - flights, transfers, accomodation, all food and drink and all entertainment including an amazing kids club that gave us 3 hours a day to sunbathe in peace!

    We have returned to the most miserable Manchester weather and we're desperate to go back - but unfortunately we are about to start the school holidays only misery, so we are fully on the good ship DFW to save to go back next year - looking like costing us about £3000 which is the amount I have left to pay off on my CC! :(

    I also need to do a major declutter in my house so hopefully that will inspire me not to spend as I do not want to bring any more STUFF in!

    1. Off to Aldi at lunchtime for the Super Six as it's really good this week and ends on Wednesday. Should mean I don't need much more for the rest of the week.
    2. Banking - all fine
    3. Look at spreadsheets to see where I can trim payments down
    4. Slimmning World restarting so meal planning based on that
    5. B, L, D and snacks from stores

    Good luck all.

    Ally, what sort of photography does your OH do and does she sell stuff on picture libraries? We've just started using a new(ish) one, (picfair.com) that works out a much better deal for the photographer (i.e. they don't take a percentage, just add on a quid on top of the price you've set for your pic.)

    I remembered to bring breakfast and lunch to work today, I've not yet raided the office fruit box so I must do that soon before it's just boring stuff left.

    I completed most of my list yesterday apart from the weeds and the energy suppliers so I must do that tonight instead.

    Have a great day all! :)

    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello again
    La E - it was a very good morning thank you. I never really know when it rains whether we'll be busy or dead.

    Well my Mr T vouchers arrived Hannah! Using the double up I ordered another day pass for our favourite theme park/kids zoo. We now have two of a needed 3. Considering a family ticket is £50 doing it this way is slower but cheaper :) sad to say I think our son is getting to the age limit now for the rides but he still loves the climbing wall, zoo & massive outdoor play/indoor soft play. I'm off to add the price of that pass to my wombling total as well.

    Found 1p on my way in this morning.

    NSD 13 of 20.

    Lillian - your hols sound wonderful nice to get a lovely break. Agree it must be rubbish coming back to this weather though :(

    See you all later

    Landscape, wildlife, sport, local press stuff. Will check out that site.

    Had very little luck with such sites in the past despite photos being of very good standard.
    :(Thanks for thinking of us.

    Twiggy: Remember to take your timing barcode to events! You can buy a plastic barcode from them for £4, but I just printed mine and laminated it as we have a laminator at home. Works just as well. Or print your own on card and pop it in a wee plastic bag to keep the weather off it.

    Good Afternoon!

    Sounds like it's been raining pretty much everywhere today! I got a little soaked, walking into work, but the sun is shining now (and the washing I forgot to bring in last night is dry again :D).

    Lilian Sounds like you had a fantastic time! A little bit jealous :)

    My DFW Day....
    • Eat sensible food! No snacking. It's expensive and I need to lose weight
    • Do another load of washing and hang it out. (Bring it in before bed!)
    • Take own food to work
    • Breakfast and Lunch meal plans for next 7 days (only plan evening meals usually)
    • Check Bank Accounts
    • Clean Kitchen
    • Attempt a declutter of bedroom bookshelves and sell (or charity) redundant books

    Hope you all enjoy the rest of the day, and you all get a little sunshine.

    Afternoon all :-)

    Doing ok with my list but a few other dfw bits to add :)
    *Had contact lense check at specsavers (no extra cost) but I'm considering changing from all day/all night lenses to daily disposables and so the optician gave me two different makes of lenses to try for free (5 days worth of each)
    *I need new glasses but the optician recommended waiting til August as on my lenses scheme I will get a big discount if I get them August onwards.
    *Saw on :money: email there was a free sausage roll from greggs http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/greggs so I picked that up (will give the boys half each in their lunch bags tomorrow)
    *I had £3 off vouchers for Evans, I got them ages ago but haven't wanted anything from there but the vouchers were going to expire next month, so I went in for a look and they had some jewellery reduced, so I picked a cute pair of earrings up for £3 so they didn't cost me anything and I will probably pop them in my sisters birthday or Christmas hamper :)
    * Met up with my mum who offered to treat me to lunch in town :)
    * Bought 2 newspapers, to get the free lego toy one each for the boys
    Following :money: to keep us debt free :j

    Hi everyone, glad the mornings been busy Bob.

    We have a shoe rack in the hall with a couple of baskets for hats and gloves. Its been falling to bits for ages and looks awful so on impulse I went online and ordered a new one to be delivered on Friday, costing £50. Forgot to tell OH.

    Came home from work to find that OH had dismantled the shoe rack and rebuilt it beautifully. He also cleaned it and put everything back really neatly. I had to quickly ring up Arg*s and cancel the new one, he still doesnt know but I am very happy.

    Ticking off jobs on my to do list, phone calls, e-mail and such like. Lasagne in the oven for tea, off to my gym class tonight but thats budgeted for.

    Load of washing on the airer to dry indoors. Looks rainy tomorrow too.
