Received Parking Charge letter but no ticket
dstunty
I have received a Parking Charge letter and subsequent Debt recovery letter. I haven't to date replied to either. The Parking Charge letter says a parking charge was issued at the time but I know this was not the case. There was nothing on the windscreen. I suppose anyone could say they never had this and threw it away, but I discovered nothing when I got back into the car to drive home. Are they in their rights to write to me (asking for £100, if I have never received the original ticket?
Thanks

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES and then appeal using the template in said NEWBIES thread. Ignore debt collector letters unless you are short of bog paper or need some firelighters.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving. This assumes the events happened in England or Wales and wasn't a hire/lease car otherwise the advice is different.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
