Help please

Hi I'm totally new to this and just signed up today. I've heard more and more stories about people claiming back bank charges and the amount they have to pay for their type of account.

I currently have an RBS silver account and have been charged many times. I am in full time employment and I have a nearly 7 year old daughter. Although I get paid a good wage I must admit I do struggle as a single mum as childcare is very expensive.


Can anyone help me please?

Why do you have a Silver account? Do you need an account with extras?

And what have you been charged for - having the account or going overdrawn or both?

I got it because I asked for an overdraft and they said I could get one if I took out that account so I took it. Yes I've been charged for the account and had a few bank charges.

You can complain about paying for it, but as you are using one of the benefits, they may decide against upholding your complaint.
You can still complain, and also if you can show you have similar cover for the benefits that usually come with them, like AA or insurances and have never used them, you stand a better chance of successfully complaining.
