I have been pricing a hotel in Boston online. I used trivago as first point of reference. Booking. Com jad the cheapest price for my hotel at 1123
I accidentally exited out of the screen and then just went into booking.com myself. The price was £300 cheaper!
I then double checked the trivago price and it was still the same.
Does this happen regularly? I thought trivago were just a screen scraper?

IIRC Booking.com's 'price' is quoted at whatever rate of exchange they are using atm and you will pay in $, the same is possibly true for the hotel's own website (if you have asked for price in £) but they may just quoting using a different exchange rate.
Check the price in $ on both to make a true comparisonEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
I've found anomolies before, but if you go back a day or two later it's usually correct again. I suspect Trivago temporarily store results to reduce workload (hardly suprising when some cities can have several hundred hotels which they query multiple resellers for), so they can sometimes be behind.0
