trivago

I have been pricing a hotel in Boston online. I used trivago as first point of reference. Booking. Com jad the cheapest price for my hotel at 1123

I accidentally exited out of the screen and then just went into booking.com myself. The price was £300 cheaper!

I then double checked the trivago price and it was still the same.

Does this happen regularly? I thought trivago were just a screen scraper?

IIRC Booking.com's 'price' is quoted at whatever rate of exchange they are using atm and you will pay in $, the same is possibly true for the hotel's own website (if you have asked for price in £) but they may just quoting using a different exchange rate.
Check the price in $ on both to make a true comparison
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

I've found anomolies before, but if you go back a day or two later it's usually correct again. I suspect Trivago temporarily store results to reduce workload (hardly suprising when some cities can have several hundred hotels which they query multiple resellers for), so they can sometimes be behind.
