BBC Sport App ...... delay

Options
Has anyone else noticed that the BBC sport app is at least 8 minutes behind - with football results ?
I am just following Bristol Rovers vs Grimsby today and listening to it on the radio - Grimsby scored and I waited 8 minutes before BBC sports app gave me this fact - it appears pretty pointless

You expect an app to be updated in real time for sports results?

I'm not sure it really matters. If you're listening on the radio, you know anyway. If you're not listening/ watching elsewhere, then you're none the wiser? ;)

If you want real time football updates download a betting app like coral. They update in real time as obviously people bet on things so they need it to be 100% accurate!

Why not? I use a few apps for football scores and bbc is the worst most update fairly quick

well the data needs to be updated onto the servers, then onto the app.
I assume its like the news app with push messages. So it probably depends on how often the app checks the server.
How do you gauge fairly quickly? 3-5 minutes?

Even if they are incapable of typing a few lines in real time - they should be able to update the actual score !!

How much are you paying for this app?

If I were you I would be seeking a refund.

    Oh... wait...

I've never noticed it before, always thought the results were live!

You think this takes eight minutes? It's not 1995.
