Self catering in Pas De Calais

I am thinking of taking the kids on the Eurostar in July, its about £240 return. I am trying to find either a caravan park or possibly a campsite in Calais with facilities for kids ie water slides/pool. Tight budget otherwise will opt for a different destination.

Do you mean Eurostar or taking your car through the tunnel? Eurostar will take you to towns such as Lille so I assume you are travelling by car.

Hadn't realised that some stopped at Calais! Presume that means no car to transport stuff around hence would need pitched tents ?

    Some do, but not many.
Wouldn't you be better of taking your car for ease of getting around

Apologies for dismissing the possibility of going to Calais in post 2.

There's a bus from Calais-Frethun station to the town station

from where you could go along the coast.

I think there are some good beaches to the east of Calais towards Dunquerque and no doubt buses to take you there.
