bank charges

Hi

i am unsure how to go about claiming bank charges etc. how far back can i go? i am unable to work at the moment as my son has a disability in which i am his full time carer and he is not attending school at the moment.

Are there any template letters or what are the reasons for claiming back bank charges?

The banks won the court case regarding bank charges, however if you are suffering current financial hardship they may look at the position you're presently in. They could freeze interest charges or offer a goodwill refund of some charges incurred during the past few months, provided you have no luxury outgoings such as Sky tv, mobile phone contracts, meals out etc.

You are 6 years too late. Banks won the court case in 2009.

Nowadays, banks only consider bank charge refunds if the charge is incorrectly applied or you are in CURRENT financial hardship and they use a refund of charges as part of a solution to get you out of trouble.

Are you in hardship (debt increasing, arrears/defaults etc)
