Best "non-Amex" reward card for £10,000

Options
Me and husband are having £10,000 spent on the garden over the next year so I want a new card that has cashback or rewards. The shop don't take AMEX though so I can't use that. Any ideas the next best one to get. The 10k won't be paid on one go so the limit isn't important. Thanks Karen x

What shop is it? Its possible you could buy gift cards for the shop with your AmEx elsewhere?

What's the Best Loyalty Card Bonuses for Long Term Spending? Personally I'd go with the Hilton, there's another article there that dictates the Hilton card as best one for spending long term.

    interesting SLZ.
i had the Hilton card, as an Amex backup, and then moved to CapOne..
i found the service with the Barclaycard Hilton to be very mixed. and they stitched me for the free night certificate. they kept telling me it was coming... and then said it had been sent way back and had now expired. followed by complete disinterest in discussing the matter.

So you are having £10k in the bank and can pay by full on the month?

Or do you just want to use credit card for S75?

Any chance you ask for the shop if they have any discount if you pay by cash as they will be charge if you using credit card.

I am looking for cash back card at the moment, and here is what I've found with cards without annual fee.
    Asda credit card. 0.5% cashback
Nationwide 0.5% cashback + 0% purchase for 15 months if you got nationwide account.
    Bank of Ireland 0.5% cashback
House of fraser credit card, voucher = 1%
MBNA reward cards. 2 points every £1 for visa for first 90 days. shopping voucher 2000 points = £10

Have you considered a 0%-on-purchases card instead? Stash the money in a savings account and get more interest, even after tax, than if you'd got the low rates of cashback on offer these days.

Or go for the best of both worlds using the Tesco purchases card ...

Why does planetaria seem to have problems with every financial product he takes out?
