How long do jars of babyfood last?

Just a quick question...

I'm just adding some things to my online shop for our church community larder (we keep a stock of things for people in crisis etc.) and Tesco have a deal on Hipp organic babyfood jars - I don't want to order loadsif they don't have a long shelf life and wondered if anyone out there has some in the cupboard that they have bought recently and could check the use by date on it for me before I submit my order.

Mostly the people who come in for food are singles or couples but I thought it would be a good idea to have some babyfood in case there is a family.

Many thanks in advance,

Sophie

  • I haven't used baby food jars for a while but if my memory serves me correctly they using have about 9 months to 1 year as a best before date.
Now debtfree except for the mortgage!

Thanks - I think I'll go for it and if they come with a shorter date I'll find someone to give them to.

Just checked some we have in the cupboard and they are all dated 06/08. We've had them a while. We only use jars when we need to get our daughter something to eat quickly, or we go out for the day.
