in Credit cards
I recently obtained my credit score file, and found that Cabot Financial were defaulting me for an account I don't remember having. No payment has been made to this credit card since august 2009.
I sent off a letter asking for a CCA and deed of notice etc, along with a cheque for £1
Today I received a letter back from Cabot saying they dont hold any account in my name, and sent back my £1 cheque. I phoned them just to make sure, and they still cant find any record of it.
They are still defaulting me each month, and this is affecting my credit score.
What options do I have? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think that "defaulting" is possible every month for the same account. AFAIK, a "default" is one-off event and remains in the file(s) for 6 years, although, it possibly can be repeatedly shown as the status of the account every month.
IMO, your best option is to complain to the CRA(s) and forward them all copies of the correspondence.

Your credit "score" doesn't exist so don't worry about that and stop paying for any such service from the CRA if you are doing so.
Even if wrong, the account will vanish in August this year anywaySam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
