Property I'm Purchasing Relisted Om Rightmove?

I'm hoping for some advice. Two weeks ago I viewed a property and had an offer accepted immediately. The following day I instructed a solictor and yesterday had my mortgage offer confirmed, following full underwriting and the valuation.

This evening, the properties recently sold by the agent have appeared on Rightmove, albeit showing as 'STC'. However the property I'm buying was originally removed from Rightmove and no longer viewable within two hours of my offer being accepted.

Given that I've spent roughly £1500 this month on fees for the mortgage and solictors, should I have reason to worry about this?

Hiya the property is removed from the general search on Rightmove when SOLD or Under Offer. However if you amend your filter to include Under Offer and Sold STC this will include them in the viewing list. If you deselect the tab from the filter they will no longer be displayed.

Thanks for the response, although I should have mentioned that it was completely removed from Rightmove before and could only be viewed using the hyperlink to the original advert which had been replaced with "This property is no longer available. It may have been sold or removed from the market" and the pictures were greyed out.

It was never previously listed as ''STC" but rather completely removed from Rightmove, which has made me twitchy as the last two weeks have been the most stressful of my entire life.

As long as it's marked STC then I wouldn't worry. Estate Agents play silly !!!!!!!! with adverts all the time, I don't think it means anything in this case. If you are worried phone them up and ask them if they are still offering viewings, you could even get a friend to pretend to be interested and see what they say.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.
  • I wouldn't think its a matter of concern either - but would get a friend to be a "mystery shopper" for me and enquire about the property and see if they got offered a viewing.

I'm another that thinks there's nothing to worry about. We have just sold our house this week, which sold before it even hit the market due to the EA sending round a viewer who was seeing another house nearby.
The schedule wasn't ready and the photos had just been taken and our agreement with the buyer was that we would stop marketing it and conduct no more viewings.

However I've just noticed that the EA has put it up on rightmove anyway with a sold banner on it, but it's not visible unless you include sold houses in your search.
Looks like EA games to me and probably harmless.

    Along with games comes incompetence.

Some time ago, a local agent's minion uploaded houses they'd had on their books five or six years previously. As one belonged to an unpleasant neighbour, I awarded myself a celebratory drink, before realising from the photos that something was clearly wrong.

The ad disappeared within hours. The subsidence crack in his end wall remains, so until that is filled and plastered over, I won't be fooled again!
