With all the current long periods of 0% balance transfers and cashback offers, eg the Santander 1-2-3 card, I'm wondering whether these actually work in your favour vs just saving money in a account?
I'm thinking of using the 1-2-3 card for weekly supermarket and petrol and spend around £100 a week on them..... thoughts appreciated...

Cashback on your spend is better than no cashback. And depending on where you can invest your money, a balance or money transfer can make you some money.
But it depends on your circumstances. It's not a question of savings v cashback - you should aim for both.0 -

If it's other cards you normally have to chose between a cashback and 0% on purchases.0
