I'm new here and basically looking for some advice
I'm looking to remortgage i have a 5.5 year old settled default on my credit file I'm looking to remortgage
mortgage 50k property value 160k
been round the houses and most brokers are telling me no
so i have come on here as a last resort

    no there is nothing you are un aware of its a default for 3k it is due to be removed in december this year it was also settled over 3 years ago

    I agree.

    Likewise, I'm looking for other reasons this is being declined.

    A default dated more than three years ago and satisfied should be easy to place at under 50% loan to value.

    i have not been declined as i have not made a application i manage all my bills very well the people i have approached have told me too wait until december till it has gone from my file
