                    Hi
despite having a valid ticket my daughter has received a PCN for displaying an upside down ticket paid for in a private car park.
Can someone please advise the best course of action. Ignore or reason with UKCPS Ltd

Neither will work. Ignoring is out long of date advuce and these firms don't do reason - Please read the Newbies Sticky, then post back here when you have the bones of your challenge/appeal together.0 -

            Hi
I have read the newbies sticky but there appears to be no reference to valid ticket unable to be read.
Or am I missing something?0 -
yep, you are, they dont care how the rules were "broken", just that they are and so they can justify sending out extortionate demands for money (the pcn is an invoice)
the reason you dont see it is because you wont find any of the "trumped up rules" , the fact remains she could have been wearing a blue hat on red hat day for all they care !
there is no reasoning with these cowboys ! they just want their money !
the newbies thread tells the person reading it how to appeal and suggests a template letter
this is likely to be refused and then they will offer the IAS, where the appellant is also likely to fail as its a kangaroo court
ignoring has the possibility of a small claim in court (an MCOL) in the future, where a judge will decide
if you think common sense will prevail here, it wont, not until it gets in front of a judge
welcome to the wonderful world of private parking enforcement and the complete lack of regulation0 -
