I guess I will have to speak to the agent I use first as I have no direct contact with the tenants.
As said above the agency wont be too bothered to help I guess as they will be losing £100 a month from me when I sell, but they are my only point of contact at the moment
1) they are your tenants, not the agent's. By all means tell the agents if you wsh but you don't need their permission!
2) and bear in mind any advice, suggestions, or even 'instructions' the agents give you will likely be what is in their best interests, not yours, and certainly not the tenants'.0 -
The tenants have a contract with you, not the letting agency. Instead of Chinese whispers just talk directly to the tenants.0

Didn't realise I didn't have a grip. Just saying I have had no contact with the tenants, everything goes through the agent.
Having never been in this position before I am unaware of any etiquette that may be the norm, which is why I asked for the advice.0 -
