What type of house is this? (structurally)

At first thought I would have guessed standard cavity wall but having walked past the house the neighbour has fitted external solid wall insulation. Construction date is unclear, some time between 1950 and 1980.
I now suspect it is either steel framed or poured concrete, but haven't seen anything visually similar.
Pictures 1 and 11 show the front and back. Front is pebbledashed or something similar. The rear of the house looks like it has some kind of huge lintel between the floors

Agents can't answer this question. Vendor doesn't live there either.
Anyone got a clue?

Might be BISF.0

I don't think it's BISF, those seem to have windows and doors exactly the same width on upper and lower floors but I could be wrong

Closer view of the "lintel"

Hope this helps0 -
He suspects that the ones you are looking at are an earlier version. Pebbledash is the giveaway. If you penetrated the pebbledash you would see stones and cement.0

Yes, thanks for all the input. It does look quite similar to some of the Wimpey No-fines, but I have yet to see any with the 'lintel' style bar that goes around the house between floors, perhaps it's just decorative.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

This tells you all you need to know about the lintel

Thanks, have you seen the document? Do you think it's readable for a non-engineer?carefullycautious wrote: »This tells you all you need to know about the lintel
