tax credits and nursery fees worrying me...please help!

to cut a long story short last year i got into debt with nursery fees because tax credits with held my payments for 8 weeks!! have been paying it off every week since. my little girl is 3. her 3 year funding started on the 20th april so my nursery fees went down in accordance. i got a bill today to find that they havent been taking the funded money off my weekly bill for 4 weeks which adds up to £189. they bill is completly wrong and they seem to adding what ever money they want on to what i owe. i know i should never need to owe them but that doesnt give them to right to just add money on when they like. i then found out today they havent even sent her funding forms away yet!!
so any way my question is can the nursery tell tax credits that im in arrears and stop any future claims i make or do tax credits not care what happens after they pay you? i want to remove my little girl from the nursery as soon as possible (still pay off what i eventually work out what i owe) but im scared whitless they will report me to tax credits for no using childcare tax credit correctly...can they do this or is just all in my head??! please help

Child care costs can only be used with OFSTED registered child care providers. As such, any potential misconduct on behalf of the nursery could be reported to OFSTED.
If and when you move your child it is your responsibility as the claimant to inform the HMRC Tax Credits.0 -

No they won't report you however if you are checked by compliance like me then you will have to provide proof of payments.
Also if they ring your nursery to check they might actually say that your behind on payments.
I'm having to send 12 months invoices bank statements receipts and this is the second time in three years I've been fully investigated0 -

My SIL was reported by her nursery when she fell into arrears - the nursery said that as she was in receipt of childcare element of tax credits to - they had a duty to report it. I don't know if that's the norm.0
