parking eye cancelled by morrison ?

hi

advice request :
english is not my first language, could you help me as i read few newbie thread (ppc, pcn, popla doesn't speak too much to me...)

i genuinely overstayed at morrison with my pregnant wife.
today i received a notice, so i went to speak to the store manager about this overstay and he agreed to cancel the notice.
he took my paper notice about the 85£ charges, so i don't have the reference number or paper

i have no proof no email no agreement with me, but if any paper arrive i will go back to the store manager

=>is that ok for me to rely on the store manager to cancel everything ?
=> or should i do a formal appealing (with my car plate number but no reference number) to get a popla number just in case and write something like "i let you know the manager has agreed to cancel the charges, so please cancel it on your side and forget me"

my worry is like "if nothing happen and i didn't do any appeal, i might get into trouble" so not sure if i can leave as it is or should i take any action also on my side ?
Please let me know and advise

i'm a regular customer but i didn't had any bank statatement or receipt as i had paid by cash.

thanks for your advice

if the car you were driving is yours , do nothing .

everything should be OK, and the manager will cancel it

if the manager has forgot to cancel the charge PE will write to you again, , if that happens , you can complain to morrisons or come back to this thread for more help

Morrison's I'm sure are fed up of PE. In case the manager overlooks your charge do a soft appeal as per the NEWBIES thread. That will ensure you don't lose the chance of a further appeal to POPLA.

Don't worry, I'm sure the manager will deal with it for you but when you next shop there just ask him if now that he's got all the details he needs to get this cancelled for you can you please have the paper notice back.

Go and speak to the manager at Morrison's again to remind him, but this time also mention that the Equality Act 2010 applies to your pregnant wife and therefore she (and therefore you) were entitled to more time to park.

You could point out that he and Morrisons, and Parking Eye could get into a lot of trouble if they don't cancel this ticket because of the Equallity Act, but only mention it if he doesn't agree to get it cancelled and give you back your paperwork.

    hi

    parkingeye.co.uk/contact-us/
is the reference number mandatory ?
i know it was date X on afternoon and my plate number.

following your advices, i think i will leave as it is, according to you the manager has the power to deal with it .... then it should be ok.
eventually i can try to reach the manager next wednesday the 20 as i have at least until 23 for appeal.

Yes the reference number is important and will need to be supplied with an appeal.

So even if the manager can't get it cancelled for you make sure you get your letter back from him.

If you do find you have to appeal come back on and use the template appeal letter you will find in the sticky thread entitled "**NEWBIES!!......."

It's very important you use the right appeal points and they are all included in that template letter.

i asked the manager and after a few checking he recognised me as a genuine customer
    he got cancelled the fine
i received few days later a letter from PE that there's no longer anything to pay.
