Am i using too much gas/electric?

And your annual gas usage? That's the one we need, as it accounts for the vast bulk of your usage, which is space heating and hot water.
Your electricity usage is about 25% more than the average, so nor unduly high.
I can't seem to find a annual for gas.
i have found may-aug last year which was;
gas-1562 kwh
elec-1150 kwh0 -
Quarterly readings tell us nothing, as already explained. Take your 2 meter readings (not kWh amounts) for May 2014 and May 2015, deduct the former from the latter, and that is your metered usage for approx one year (in either 100's cu ft or cu m, depending on whether your meter is imperial or metric). Pro rata that to 365 days. Then convert to kWh to get your annual kWh usage.No free lunch, and no free laptop

May14-15 Annual gas is 20,284 kWh or £880.390

OK, so your annual gas usage is about 50% more than the average of 13,500kWh.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Morning carlsagen
Thanks macman
Yep that looks quite high, I know it's getting warmer and you may not be using the gas as much, but I think taking some regular reads for a week or so, then getting in contact with us so we can have a look at things.
Let me know if you need me.

Are we talking about cu metres here? If so, then you have used 256C3Ms in 8 days which equates to 2850.67 kWhs or 356kWhs per day. This is just not possible when the CH is off. FWiW, I live in a 5 bed detached house and we have gas CH (turned off), unvented HW (heated by gas) and gas cooking. Over the past week, we have used 8C3Ms or 89kWhs of gas. I am not sure how much more evidence E.oN needs that there is something wrong here.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Gas meters vary a lot. Maybe you could post a link to a picture of it if you're not sure (replace the dots with spaces if it won't allow you to post a link).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
