Can I sign a new TA for next year before the current one ends?

I have a BTL property and I have tenants living in until 30/8.
I have some other prospective tenants that saw the property, liked it and want to sign up. Can I draw a TA to start from 1/9 with the new tenants, get the deposit (and register with TDS)?

Yes, its their end of tenancy.0

Have they given notice? The fact that its the end of their tenancy doesn't mean they're planning to leave, and if they don't you'll be up shut creek if you've signed new tenants up.0
