VCS Parking Notice Humberside Airport

A parking notice arrived last year addressed to me as registered keeper of the vehicle whilst I was home from working overseas. I wrote back challenging it on the grounds that signage was inadequate, private land, not parked etc (stopped for about 1 minute in bus layby). I did not say who was driving (it wasn't me as I was being picked up from airport). The usual letter came back rejecting this, stating breach of of the parking contract and naming them as the contractor for LIVERPOOL airport. I wrote back stating that no contract for parking had been entered into and that in any case vehicle reg ... had never been on the Liverpool airport site let alone parked there. I also said that as I was now returning overseas where I am an expat worker any further correspondence should be sent to my address there which I supplied. The vehicle ownership was then transferred to someone else since I am away for over 10 months of the year and has now been sold. Everything went quiet for months but in the last couple of months letters have arrived at the UK address from agencies who say the debt has now increased and they want to collect it. Someone opens odd post that comes to that address & returns it saying I am expat and that an overseas address was provided last year for correspondence. They are different people each time, one threatened bailiff action so the person who opened it wrote and pointed out that a CCJ was needed for this and informed them to go back to VCS who had been notified of my overseas address. How do I get them off my back, give them the name of the driver and let them ask for a POPLA form?

You are obviously way past the normal appeal stages. They have moved into a debt recovery mode.
They can't issue proceedings as you have clearly given a valid overseas postal address.
However this lot will not play by the rules and you need to be careful that they don't slip in court proceedings hoping for a default judgement at the UK address they have on file.
A watching brief is required but don't ignore official court papers.
Come back if that happens as you only can lose by default.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0 -
Thanks Northlakes. Is it worth someone writing by recorded delivery & telling them that they have been given my overseas address and to use it or should they just keep opening the post and then returning it stating I am expat and address has been provided previously?0

IMO neither of the above. open it, check it's not an LBCCC (coming from VCS or a solicitor acting for them )or actual court papers and if neither of those then just file it and ignore.
Replying to debt collectors rubbish just gets them over exited

As CC says ignore all debt collectors letters but watch out for a LBCCC just in case.
