Athena Lidl parking charge

I have seen some old threads about this but need to know state of play today
I was under the impression that Lidl car parks have a sign stating 90 min parking...my local one does at least.
My son just received letter headed 'civil parking charge notice' saying time allowed only 10 mins and he stayed 1 hour 23 mins
Enforceable or ignore?

Neither. Appeal against it and complain to the store/head office - some Athena/Lidl car parks now have a 10 min limit for non-customers - customers must give their reg. no. at the check out to be exempt from their ridiculous charges.
Have a read of the sticky thread "**NEWBIES!!........"
Do not reveal who the driver was - son needs to appeal as reg. keeper using template 1st appeal you will find in the above thread.
Athena are easy to beat at POPLA - the forum will help you if it gets that far.
p.s. stop reading old threads - to see new ones use Search the Forum function using Athena or Lidl as search term (select show posts) to see recent examples0 -
ive just got my popla appeal back today allowing my appeal. Based on the premis that athenas evidence of permission by lidl was descriptive enough, the letter said 'permission is given in some stores' but didnt elaborate what stores or articulate that it was in the location that I parked0
