Gavin Robinson. Called to The Bar 2007.
Special advisor appointment 2011.
Special advisor salary = £75,000.
Please can someone explain what "special" expertise Gavin, with 4 years experience as a practising barrister, has to warrant a "special" salary of 3 times average wage?
The troughers make me sick. The cults of DUP and SF disgust me.0 -
It's not just the fact that we have more than Scotland & Wales Combined, it's the additional fact ALL of ours are on the TOP Salary banding !! There's a surprise !!0

Conmen/women and chancers the lot of them.Stephen Brimstone DUP "special adviser" gets 92K a year after both him and nelson mccausland were found to have tried to influence HE board member Jenny Palmer re the Red Sky multi million pound contracts.
To her credit ms palmer blew the whistle and the only one facing any dicipline now is herself while nelson and cohorts enjoy the benefits of their "platonic" friendship with red sky. Sooner the whole stinking edifice comes down and westminister takes over again.Yes we will still suffer the cuts to come but at least the stormont spongers will be out of a job.0 -
We could always just pay them less?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Can someone please tell me. What are Stephen Brimstone's qualifications? Why are WE, not the DUP, paying 90k a year for his advice?0

Could anyone tell me how ANY of our Politicians are qualified to do their jobs? From what I can see they all seem to be qualified Lawyers (well on the DUP side anyway)...... Great, but what bl00dy good does that do as a Finance Minister or Health Minister apart from bringing reviews, enquiries or threatening legal action ??
Here's an idea. How about having a minister with "Accountancy" qualifications and knowledge as Finance Minister or someone with a good wide knowledge and qualification in Education and Academia as Education Minister rather than a Chef who sat on a Board of Governors once!!0 -

I completely agree. But at least those people have some sort of mandate.
What does Stephen "I refuse to answer that question Minister" Brimstone bring to the table? What qualifications does he have to warrant 90k a year?0 -
Westminster usually has about two thirds law graduates, including m thatcher and t Blair.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Probably knows a lot of dirt on certain members of the party so that's qualification enough in their view!!0
