After a little reading elsewhere on the forum I understand it's ill-advised to pre-load the card due to clause 16.9 in the T's&C's... but I'm wondering for the people that like to pay off their cash advances as soon as possible do you wait till the transaction appears on the account or do you just transfer the amount withdrawn the same day regardless?

Also, let's for argument say...
- 1st May - my statement arrives with a balance of £100
- my direct debit is set to pay the full amount on the 25th
- 3rd May - I withdraw £100 cash
- 4th May - I manually make an online payment of £200 just to clear everything off

Wise people wait at least until the withdrawal appears in online statement.I'm wondering for the people that like to pay off their cash advances as soon as possible do you wait till the transaction appears on the account or do you just transfer the amount withdrawn the same day regardless?
From my experience, manual payments don't affect the amount scheduled to be taken by a DD. So, this is a possible way of 'preloading' the card without breaking the T&C.Also, let's for argument say...- 1st May - my statement arrives with a balance of £100

Any payment made will first be applied to statemented transactions, so if you're carrying a purchases balance (waiting to be collected by DD) then your payment will be applied to those purchases...not the cash advance balance....but I'm wondering for the people that like to pay off their cash advances as soon as possible do you wait till the transaction appears on the account or do you just transfer the amount withdrawn the same day regardless?
