Stand alone grill?

Options
Hello there, I'm hoping some of you lovely people might be able to help me. I live in a shared house and recently the grill on our cooker was condemned during a gas inspection (we had new cupboards fitted and they are now too close to the grill and a fire risk apparently). The landlord has offered to buy us a new grill, but understandably doesn't want to replace the whole oven. I've been scouring the web and have drawn a complete blank though- I can only find George Foreman type grills with a top that pulls down. The landlord has suggested a combined microwave and grill, but I've heard bad things about those- has anyone got one and do they actually grill properly? Your help will be much appreciated as I'm missing my grilled sardines on toast!

Hi, I have a Tefal Toast'n'Grill, it is about the size of a large toaster and it's brilliant! It has elements top and bottom, a timer, and normal and booster settings. It makes lovely cheese on toast, and you can heat pasties or cook small pizzas in it.
I got it from Robert Dyas for about £30, and couldn't do without it. My cooker doesn't have a separate grill so use it a lot.

    Hey, that looks nice :)

There are some on Amazon, such as this one...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tefal-TF801015-Toast-n-Grill/dp/B000FG63KA

Just short of £27 and delivery is free :)

Edit: You'll find some "new&used" from £19.99 BUT...

..the cheapest is refurbished and postage is £4.00 plus 50p per kilo - that makes it only a pound or so cheaper in total costs than a brand new one with free postage from amazon.

Gotta watch those sneaky add ons :)
