in Credit cards
Hi all
About 6 months ago I got a Argos stoe card to help improve my credit. All was well, but unfortunately i didnt receive the last statement and even more worse since i live in sheffield, we've just recovered from flooding, so I wasnt at our place to much.
Firthermore I live in a bloack of flats and quite often the post goes missing. I rnag Argos today and paid everything uptodate, but was told that i had incurred a 12 pound charge for late payment. Once I was put through the customer service and told them of the extinuating circumstances, the kindly removed the late charge fee, but I was horrified to learn that this 'late' payment has gone onto my credit file!! The lady on the phone told me this was automatic and that they couldnt do anything, even though they agreed with my accounts and took of the 12 pound charge.
any ideas how this will effect my credit and if i can have it removed???
thanks in advance

If its a once only occurrence it will have no effect.
If your credit rating was not good to begin with then it might.0 -
why not set up a DD so you can't forget to pay off the debt each month?0
