Got 4k sitting in post office account...

Hi, we get our child tax credits and family allowance (forget what its called now) paid into wife post office account.... we have let it build up for a while...but we get pittance interest..... Just wondering which bank/building society account would be the most profitable one to put this money into... We would like it to be a instant access account.... we realise we wont get much interest but we will surely get more than the post office account it is in at the moment...
Thanks
