ESA & DLA. In hospital for 5 weeks

Hi all,
I'm in receipt of ESA with severe disability premiums and DLA (not PIP yet) - higher rate care and lower mobility.
Two days ago I was discharged from hospital after having spent 5 weeks and 2 days there. I will of course notify the DWP but all the information I can find tells me that DLA STOPS after 28 days. The ESA seems to be less of a problem.
Can anyone give me more info on this? Will it literally stop as in cease to be a claim, or will they deduct the 11/12 days I spent there over the 28 days? I have a mortgage and am having kittens - I depend on DLA to get me to and from hospital appointments and pay for medial equipment and prescriptions etc.
Many thanks in advance

As I understand it, your payment would stop for Dla only for the period over 28 days. You would still have the entitlement to DLA - minus over 28 days in hospital - and payments will start again after you're out of hospital without need for a new claim.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. Thank you Diary, I'd struggle without DLA for a month but I can live with it rather than it being stopped. I''ll ring the DWP this morning and notify them of my admission.0

Your SDP will also be overpaid for the time over 28 days in hospital.0
