Just wondered if anyone else is awaiting completion?
The wait is cracking me up. We've found our dream home and have accepted an offer for our current home in writing. Our buyer is awaiting her formal mortgage offer......due to complete on 5 June, totally paranoid something will go wrong

You're a long way from completion. You're waiting for exchange. Join us on the waiting for exchange thread.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Oh sorry I didn't realise there was one, would you mind posting the link? Many thanks0

Waiting to complete should be the easy bit (I am in Scotland and I believe its easier for us once past exchanging!)
Are you in Scotland, just your name made me think so!0 -
Yep I sure am.
We accepted the offer 2.5 weeks ago and the buyer wants in by 5 June but is still waiting on formal mortgage offer.
This is the first time I've sold so no idea what to expect other than what I've read online ....0 -

That timeframe should be do-able assuming they put in their mortgage application straight away. We accepted an offer on our house on 17th April and our buyers should be signing missives this week with a move in date 29th May.
What about your purchase? Are you buying a house and is your mortgage application in? Hows that going?0 -
We are going to be staying with family as we've bought a new build which won't be ready until September so nothing that can really hold anything up at our end thankfully.
I'm terribly impatient and cannot wait for it all to be signed and sorted. Our home report is 2 weeks past the 12 weeks since it was done so currently waiting on solicitor advising if the mortgage company want that updated ...0 -

Ours was a bit more over the 3 months than that and was needed refreshed. We insisted our sellers to do same, although our lender was not even interested in seeing the home report - they done their own valuation.
September will be here before you know it!0
