I've looked at the policy documents of a few travel insurance companies and the ones I've looked at exclude "grandparents" from the list of "relatives" (re: cancellation/curtailment through bereavement). My fiancee's grandad isn't well at the moment and we'd like to get insurance to cover us having to suddenly return to the UK if he died. Does anyone know of any policies which cover this?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can lend.

If you did find an insurer that covers grandparents then you would have to declare the ill-health of your fiancees grandad and that is likely to push the cost up considerably.
You need to weigh up whether the cost is worthwhile. For instance it may only cost you a couple of hundred each for last minute tickets from Europe but considerably more from further away. The man without a signature.0
